MrTasselhof's - Uber Base Design Guide - Double Diamond
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my base design and suggestions in case it will help anyone else out.
- This design is now also endorsed by SpudFuuck and Gunther88 as well
- both of whom have seen an improvement in their HBM results
Please Note... you need to initially copy the setup EXACTLY... you can then tweak after if needed.
What you need:
Town Hall = Lvl 17
12 Flower Decorations
No Garrison Image Setup: (Unless your Hero Alter has more HP than Tower)
-
With Garrison Image Setup: (Use this No Garrison if Hero Alter has more HP than Tower)
-
Closer View of Setup:
-
How to Build:
Start in the center of the board and build an X with your 5 hero bases.
Add a Vault or other building to the Left and Right of the X (fit it in the notch created by the X)
Place 4 towers off of those vaults next butting up to hero bases
Place remaining three buildings on each side to form triangles
- Ideally using the highest HP buildings on the Tips of the triangles (like Guild Hall or Hero Alter)
Place 2 flower decorations beside each tower (prevents raiding drop in)
Now place your walls matching the location and distance of the image.
Now place your troop camps (again exactly)
Place remaining buildings as close to matching as possible
Place remaining flower decorations to cover "gaps" in design.
Bomb Placement:
I put 4 hero bombs above and below the hero bases in a square pattern
I put 4 troop bombs above and below heroes... 3 in line where walls narrow and one to side on inside of wall.
Suggestions:
Level up the Guild Hall as much as possible
- It is cheap to do and uses Mana of all things
- lvl 19 = 52500 HP
- lvl 20 = 63000 HP
- by comparison a Lvl 10 Tower is only 41000 HP or still only 49200 with a Lvl 2 Blue Garrison
Hero Alter is your next best building and has the same HP as Guild Hall, but requires gold to upgrade
If you are using Garrisons, I suggest putting the 5th tower between the two on the left.
If you are doing NO Garrison, I suggest putting 5th tower on left point unless your Hero Alter has more HP
Results: (can vary)
I can do G no Garrison using the following heroes
LVL 120 - Druid - 4/9 Skill - 4/5 Revive
LVL 120 - Spirit Mage - 4/9 Skill - 3/5 Berserk
LVL 120 - Thunder God - 4/9 Skill - 2/5 Revive
LVL 114 - Pumpkin Duke - 5/9 Skill - 1/5 Revive
LVL 107 - AtlantiCore - 3/9 Skill - 4/5 Revive
My hero bases are lvl 14 and 15.
If I want to be 100% sure of success... I use 1 lvl 2 purple garrison per tower
Why this works:
The Game AI is very target driven... once it locks on, it doesn't care what else happens along the way.
The AI will also choose the easiest/open path, even if it is MUCH longer, which gives you more time to pick them off.
So the intention is for the enemy units to get fixed on the far tips/points of the inside buildings.
By having the base open in the center, the enemy walks all the way around to get to that building and swings them by your Heroes to wipe out.
The other trick is keeping your Heroes in place so that they don't catch the aggression and the enemy locks on to a new building.
I hope this is helpful.
